This is a two-day intensive workshop focused on the delicate art of throwing and finishing miniature porcelain vases. This hands-on experience is designed for students who have prior wheel-throwing experience and want to explore the unique properties and challenges of working with porcelain.
What This Workshop Covers:
● Day 1: Throwing miniatures off the hump and creating a chuck for effective trimming.
● Day 2: Trimming and decorating using stained slip techniques.
● Understanding the nuances of porcelain—its plasticity, translucency, and precision.
● Mastering fine details and control at a small scale.
